Dermatopathology Fellowship

The Departments of Pathology and Dermatology jointly sponsor a one-year Dermatopathology Fellowship, which intends to prepare individuals for careers in academic medicine.

There are five faculty members in the Departments of Dermatology and Pathology with special certification in dermatopathology. Most of these faculty members are actively engaged in teaching dermatopathology to students, residents and fellows.

Residents in dermatology participate in dermatopathology sign outs twice weekly, weekly unknown conference and text review, and monthly dermatopathology journal club. There is an extensive slide library of teaching cases available for independent study, as well as ample reading material in the form of books and journals.
